I know what it’s like to make the choice to change, to choose to make time for myself. I know the journey can be hard, but it’s also so rewarding. You don’t
need to go at it alone. Let me help you. Let me show you what it’s like to want to, have to, and need to have your regular workout time! I love working with seniors, adults, teens, and children. I love HIIT and Strength and Conditioning Training and the confidence this gives me of feeling strong yet agile! Let’s do this! To make this work, you need to make your current and future friends (because you’ll make more doing this, as they’ll become inspired) complicit in your fitness caper. To do this, you have to somehow put it out there that you’re motivated to make a major change in your life and invite them along on your journey (either literally or in spirit). Putting things like this out in the universe, even just a little bit, tends to reap more benefits back to you. For me, it was gradual because I was quiet about it.
Only a few family friends knew that I had joined the gym. That was because I wanted to make sure that I was actually going to stick to it. Then I started posting my workout check-ins on Facebook and Instagram. I started chatting with a few ladies that frequented the gym and some of the trainers that worked there and became Facebook friends with them. It was awesome as we posted the encouragement and what there with accolades of “great job,” “you’re doing awesome,” “keep up the good work,” etc. Next, I joined a few classes there, well, one, in particular, the ab class tried a few others, but they weren’t for me. Finally, I started posting videos and pictures of myself doing healthier activities and eating better. I then learned to feel comfortable talking about what I was doing and not doing when the results of my successful training began to appear visually. Family, friends, and colleagues started to notice the change, the pep in my step, the slim in my face, neck, and thighs.
This stubborn belly fat is another topic, lol. They all began asking questions and wanted to know what I was doing. Then out of nowhere, the trainee became the trainer four years in bloom. All the support from my family, friends, and social media helped me along the way and inspired and encouraged me. When people would see me and say, “I see you,” “I watch you,” blah blah…it brought a bright smile to my face, and that is what keeps me going; the Village that backs me, supports me, and believe in me. My village expands in my city and across many other states. From my online workout class on all social media platforms, it’s phenomenal to hear and see people thank you for helping them on their journey, make that change, or be that accountability buddy/partner they’ve been looking for. I keep saying this was the ministry he had prepared for me “train up a trainer” program.
You know what you know, you learn what you learn, and as they see your growth and progress, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually all the positive change is great to be able to share. Take that step and join a village today. It will help you make great choices and progress. Remember, it’s not easy, and you’re not alone. Find trusted people with support and assistance so you can achieve everything you set out to do. Find someone in your life to buddy up with. Join an online support group. Hire a Personal Trainer. Setting up a workout schedule. Keep your eye on the prize—consistency, patience, faith, and perseverance.
