On Sunday February 2, 2020 Black History was made at the historic Legacy Drama House! Over 30 Black women with Doctorate degrees took part in a photography shoot by extremly talented photographer Chris Johnson. The doctors were beautifully adorned in all black attire, accented by pearl accessories and a splash of fur (to represent pure class). Multiple doctorate backgrounds were well represented including, EdD’s, PhD’s, Pharm D’s and MD’s, some ladies had earned their degrees over thirty years ago!
The photo shoot was an opportunity to not only highlight their esteemed academic accomplishments, style and grace. It was also a vehicle in which to network with one another and display visibility to the local community that these Sistas are here and accessible for professional guidance and mentorship!
Former Rochestarian, Dr. Vicki T. Sapp was so encouraged by the event that she drove 6 hours (roundtrip) from Pennsylvania to be present for this groundbreaking occasion!
Stay tuned for the full and exciting cover story in on “The Doctor’s Are In the House” March/April’s issue of Upstate New York Gospel Magazine!
