President & CEO of the YWCA Stepping Down

Upstate NY Gospel Magazine has had to privilege of working with the YWCA as a sponsor of the Empowering Women’s Luncheon. Our support of this organization and its great work has grown through the years and we work to support them throughout the year not just in the Fall. Like many of you, we were taken aback with the stepping down of a woman that has been instrumental in the progress of the YWCA for so many years. We also understand that in life we must make decisions that are best for our family as well as our selves.
Upstate NY Gospel Magazine had the opportunity to reach out to President Carroll and ask her a few questions about her impact on the YWCA.
When I started at the YWCA in 1985, I was the Finance Director. In 1987 I became the Assistant Executive Director and 1995 I became President and CEO.
At the YWCA we engage many women in decision making and bringing to life programs that meet changing community needs. From the women we serve, to the staff….
